Integrated Education

NAB presently operates 11 IE units, catering more than 100 visually challenged children in Lucknow, Sitapur and Hardoi districts of Uttar Pradesh, with a budgetary outlay of about Rs.16,50,000/-. The cost of education of one blind child is Rs. 15,000/- per year.

Scholarship

On the auspicious occasion of white cane day, scholarship is been provided to needy visually impaired students. On 15.10.2019 a scholarship distribution program was organized by NAB U.P and scholarship cheques were distributed in the presence of the Vice Chancellor and Registrar of Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University, Mohan Road Lucknow.

Braille Kit Distribution

With the financial assistance of our generous donors, NAB U.P has been distributing Braille kits to blind students every year.

Covid Relief

Due to the advent of Novel Corona Virus Pandemic, the visually impaired community has suffered the most. Such blind persons who earned their living by running petty shops, selling goods on roadside and blind hawkers at railway stations had no source of daily income because of the lockdown imposed due to corona virus. We at NAB U.P decided to help such blind persons by providing financial support as well as by providing groceries. Our staff and volunteers distributed ration kits to such visually impaired persons.

Diwali Mela

Diwali Mela was organized by Handicapped Welfare Department, Government of U.P on 24-25 October 2019 were by a stall was set up at Cinepolis mall Lucknow and the goods manufactured by the blind students of NAB U.P ( Diya, candles, bags, envelopes, candle stands, rangoli, jhumar, toran, Bandhanwar) were been exhibited.
